Adding an Embed Code

Modified on Tue, 9 Aug, 2016 at 9:31 AM

An embed code is a block of HTML which is embedded on the page and adds some functionality from an outside source. Examples of embed codes are: adding youtube videos to your site, adding a third party log-in, adding a facebook like box, or more. You will first need to get the embed code from the third party site you wish to integrate with your website.

To Install it

To add the embed code to your site click on "Apps" in the Shelf at the bottom and look for "Embed HTML"

Drag and drop the app where you want to place it.

To Edit it

Click on the pencil icon in the top right corner of the app to edit the code.

Delete the existing code and replace it with the code you took from your exterior site, after you've added the new code click "Save"

Once you've completed the steps above, exit the app and click on "Publish"
