Why Is My Website Not On Google Yet?

Modified on Mon, 8 Jun, 2015 at 3:27 PM

If you have not already done so, please see our tutorials on Search Engine Optimization to find out how you can help your website appear higher on search engine results.

If, after you have implemented basic SEO elements (Page Title, Slug, Meta Keywords and Meta Description) on your website, you find that your website doesn't appear on Google search results, it may be because it hasn't yet had the chance to be crawled or indexed by Google. This basically means that Google have not yet picked up on your website for them to index it properly in their records, and hence your website doesn't appear when you search for it.

With basic SEO Setup (which is offered throughout all Empowerkit packages), it may take several months before your site is crawled and indexed for it to show up. The basic SEO Setup includes Page Title, Slug, Meta Keywords and Meta Description. To increase the chances of your website being 'seen' by Google, it is also advisable to share your website link in as many places as possible, for example social media feeds, email signatures, email flyers and so on.

We can further help to speed up the process of your site appearing on Google by adding backlinks and creating business listing submissions for your website. These services are offered in our organic marketing packages (Pro Package and SEO Package) and help to enhance your Google search engine rankings, as well as speed up the time it takes for your website to actually appear in results. This happens because the backlinks and business listings help to make your site more visible to Google crawlers.
