Adding/ Editing Buttons

In this following tutorial, we will show you how to add and customize a button to your website. 

It covers how to install a Button App as well as how to edit the text inside it.

Adding a New Button

1. Click the Apps button on the Shelf at the bottom of the screen.

2. Find the Button App on the menu and on the right of the scroll menu, click the Install button. You can also drag and drop to install an app to your page. 

3. A Button in it's default state will be added to your website, and will say "Click Here to Edit Me".

Editing a Button

1. Hover over the top edge of the newly created button and find the Pencil icon. Click this to edit the text inside the button, as well as the style of the text. Be sure to save your changes using the "Save Changes" button on the top right of the screen.

Note* For more format options you can double click the text inside the button and you will be able to edit the text with a toolbar at the top of the editor

2. If you would like to have only one line of text in your button, hover over the top edge of the button and find the pencil icon. Find the option that says "Settings" on the navigation bar on the left and select the "No" option on the "Display Slogan Text" drop down menu.

3. If you'd like to change the color, roundness and border of the button, simply hover over the top edge of the button and click on the top left dot that touches the button.

A pop up will appear on your screen where you can select the look and style of your button.

Adding Links to Buttons

1. In order to add a link to your button, simply hover over the top edge of the button and find the pencil icon. From the navigation bar on the left, select the option "Edit Form Fields".

2. Under the first option titled "Link when clicked" is an empty field that you can edit with the URL you'd like to redirect your customers to. If you would like the link to open in a different tab, simply check the the box below the "Link when clicked" field.
